Read on to learn a little bit more about Wendy and her four years with Rest Assured Infant Nursing!

Why did you become a night nurse?

I have a passion for educating new parents on newborns and helping them to get on a schedule that is right for their family. It’s

a tremendous help to a new family to get everyone on a schedule to make life a little more predictable. Rest Assured also offers me the schedule flexibility I need to continue to do the things I enjoy outside of the nursery, like watching my kids play sports, volunteering at church and baking!

What is your favorite thing about what you do?

My favorite thing about my job is building friendships with all my clients. I keep in touch with many of them and love getting updates on the babies as they grow. It’s really special when a past client will call and request me as their nurse when they have a new baby!

What is a typical night on the job?

I start the night by getting an update on the baby’s day. During my shift, I care for the baby by changing diapers, giving bottles or assisting Mom with any breast-feeding issues or washing bottles and pump parts. And my favorite part is getting to hold the baby! I also help answer any questions parents may have about their newborn or how to get baby on a schedule.
