FAQs

I am expecting twins. Will a night nurse care for more than one baby?

Absolutely! Our nurses are trained to care for more than one baby. We’ve worked with many families having twins and even triplets!

When do I need to start thinking about a baby night nurse?

We can typically place a night nurse when you need one, but we recommend contacting us 4-6 weeks before the due date so that we can make sure we have a nurse that can cover all your needs.

How long should I keep a night nurse?

This really varies with each family. Some families use a night nurse just a few nights a week for the first month to get through those first trying weeks. Other families have kept a night nurse every night for the first few months. The best thing to do is contact us so we can discuss your individual needs.

What is the cost?

The pricing depends on the number of babies and varies by market. Contact us today for full pricing details.

What if I am breastfeeding? How will the nurse help?

We have many mothers who breastfeed. The nurse will help keep the baby on an every 3-4 hour feeding schedule and bring the baby to you to nurse. Once you are done feeding, then nurse will put the baby back down for you.

Do I need to provide anything for the night nurse? Where will the nurse stay?

No, you do not need to provide anything for your night nurse. As for where they stay, every family is different. Some families have the nurse stay in the nursery with the baby and others have the nurse stay in the living room.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We do have a cancellation policy once the dates are booked but we are flexible and will work with you as needed.

Will we have the same nurse each night?

Our goal is to provide you with the same nurse, however it will depend on availability.

What time will the nurse come?

We typically offer 8-hour night shifts, 10pm – 6am or 11pm – 7am. We will provide longer hours, if needed.
