Amanda Giles, a native of Atlanta, GA, has worked in a Level III NICU for 10 years as an assistant to the nurse. Over the course of her clinical experience (both gained in working in the NICU and the Mother/Baby unit), she enjoys assisting nurses and parents with basic infant care; such as feedings, bathing, diaper changes, and discerning their newborn’s basic needs. Mandy has been with Rest Assured Infant Nursing as a newborn specialist since 2010. She also finds great hope and life building relationships with people where ever and how ever they may be in life: whether the orphaned children and widowed Mothers in India, the struggling youth in underserved communities of the inner city, or the frightened immigrant seeking healthcare inside the walls of a clinic. And so it is for all of this that she hopes to complete her psychology and nursing degrees in the near future. In her spare time, she loves dancing to Latin beats, eating at her favorite Latin or Indian restaurants, playing with her nieces and nephews, catching up with friends near and far, relaxing with close friends and family, soaking in the sun at the beach, and sitting in the quiet with a good book and journal.
